Home!

Psalm 126

When the Lord brought back the captives to Zion,
We were like men who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
"The Lord has done great things for them."
The Lord has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.

Restore our fortunes, O Lord,
like streams in the Negev.
Those who sow in tears
will reap with songs of joy.
He who goes out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with him.

This was the psalm that God used to keep me going through all these months. Praise be to Him! Here are some photos from this eventful day.

  6. This makes us think a little bit about another homecoming, from one of our favorite books from collegiate reading:
"[...]they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him." (Luke 2: 39-40).

Welcome home, Peter! We are so glad to see these pictures. May you and Daniel grow in strength and grace along with your loving, stalwart mother and father. We wish you all the best (and will keep writing and praying, just the same)!
    Love, Kristina, Dave and Madeline
