As of this afternoon, Peter can stop taking thyroid medicine! The pediatrician just gave the all clear. He will have a follow-up blood test in a few weeks just to make sure everything is going fine.
Our little son was born on May 13, 2009 with a heart defect called total anomalous pulmonary venous connections, meaning the pulmonary veins connected to the wrong side of the heart. This led to a lack of oxygen in his organs. On May 15, he underwent surgery to reconnect these veins.
Yay Peter--keep up the good work!
